The feature article in "Total Health Breakthroughs" from 9/19/08, "Can Cell Phones Really Trigger Alzheimer's". The article refers to "recent news out of the prestigious University of Pittsburgh Cancer Center warning of cell phone risk to your immune system and bone marrow." The article goes on to say that the above referenced study "revealed that the electromagnetic radiation emitted from cell phones may pose a serious risk for developing brain cancer, as well as eye cancer and acoustic neuromas, a benign tumor of the nerve in the ear leading to deafness, which needs surgery to be removed."
The article states that, "as earlier published paper revealed that cell phone radiation kills brain cells that are associated with learning and memory, and may therefore trigger Alzheimer's."
The article clearly states, "to some people this research is very controversial." "To others, it is what's called emerging science and is in the same place where the knowledge about cigarettes was--say 40 years ago."

Mobile Phone use 'Raises children's risk of brain cancer fivefold'
A news article out of the UK today reports that, "Alarming new research from Sweden on the effects of radiation raises fears that today's youngsters face an epidemic of the disease in later life." It goes on to say; "Children and teenagers are five times more likely to get brain cancer if they use mobile phones."
The article also reports that, "Last week the European Parliament voted 522 to 16 to urge ministers across Europe to bring in stricter limits for exposure to radiation from mobile and cordless phones, Wi-fi and other devices, partly because children are especially vulnerable to them. They are more at risk because their brains and nervous systems are still developing and because-since their heads are smaller and their skulls are thinner-the radiation penetrates deeper into their brains."

Cleveland Clinic: Phones left on talk mode in pockets can hurt quality of sperm
A study by the Cleveland Clivic was aired this morning on CNN regarding the "Effects of radiofrequency electromagnetic waves (RF-EMW) from cellular phones on human ejaculated semen: an in vitro pilot study". The article's conclusion states that: "Radiofrequency electromagnetic waves emitted from cell phones may lead to oxidative stress in human semen. We speculate that keeping the cell phone in a trouser pocket in talk mode may negatively affect spermatozoa and impair male fertility."
